Recommended by Lonely Planet:
"These little cottages alone are worth staying in Westbury for. Decked out with antiques, a cosy country feel and absolute attention to detail, they are fully self-contained with all mod cons. Our favourite is the cute timber-lined Gingerbread Cottage (c. 1880)"
- Lonely Planet 5th Edition
Not just a room,
a complete colonial cottage for your exclusive use!
The quaint little village of Westbury, centrally located in the Northern Tasmania, is the perfect base from which to explore Launceston, Devonport, the Tamar wineries, Cradle Mountain, the Mole Creek Caves, the Northwest, and, of course our local attractions.
Westbury was established in the 1820's as a garrison town, and is the home of The Village Green, The Westbury Maze, Pearn's world famous Steam World and many historic buildings.
Accommodation is in four delightfully individual colonial cottages dating from the 1850's, The Gingerbread Cottage, The Old Bakehouse, The Corner Cottage and The Servant's Quarters, decorated with period furniture and memorabilia. Each cottage has a delightfully cosy gas log fire in the loungeroom.
Our cottages all have fully equipped kitchens, and we offer either a full self catering option, or we can supply everything you need for a big breakfast. In total, we can accommodate up to 19 guests, however each cottage is for your exclusive use.
At the end of your day enjoy a quiet evening in front of our cosy gas log fires, or dine out at a local restaurant - the choice is yours. Supermarket, bottle shop, The Westbury Pizza House, The White House wood-fired bakery and Andy's Bakery all nearby.
Westbury is an easy 35 minute drive from Launceston Airport, and 45 minutes from Devonport's Spirit of Tasmania terminal.
Your hosts: Amanda & Danny Taylor
