The lodge is a chilled out spot and a great place to make friends. With spacious living areas, 1 log fire, 1 sunken open fire with surrounding “love-pit”, 2 long dining tables, couches, free pool table, heaps of movies to watch on our high-definition Freeview TV, high speed internet and WiFi access (first 15 minutes free), plenty of games and books, sauna, ski tuning room, drying and storage facilities plus cool vintage poster collection, native garden and views of Mt Hutt. 24 hour hot showers.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with everything you need - including dishwasher, microwave, 2 ovens, 2 stoves, 2 fridges, storage space and funky tunes in the background.

Bedrooms are individually heated, with fully made up beds, storage shelves, lockers.

The Pinedale Apartment is completely separate from the backpackers, and is a spacious, warm place with stylish full-sized kitchen, lounge, bathroom, 1 twin room, 1 double room, 1 luggage room and private garden. Perfect for families, couples or groups of friends.

5 minute walk to pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, art house movie theatre, Visitor information, supermarkets, book shop, galleries, ski and snowboard shops and gym.

Plenty of nearby activities to keep you entertained - from skiing, snowboarding, hot air ballooning, jet boating, Lord of the Rings tours, skydiving, hiking, golf, rafting, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, horse-riding...and we have all the information you need.

We also offer return 4WD mountain transport to Mt Hutt, the 'Chill Pass' mountains in Arthurs pass of Mt Olympus, Porters, Cheeseman, or Christchurch (additional charges apply) in our van. Pre-book as an extra with your accommodation, to avoid disappointment.

Pinedale is only 10 minutes drive from the base of Mt Hutt Ski Area and transport is easily arranged if you don’t have a car.

Terms & Conditions

Once your booking is confirmed we will charge your creditcard for a deposit worth the value of your first night’s accommodation. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

When you check in, we ask that you pay the balance of your booking by cash, NZ EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard. Please note, a 2% surcharge applies to creditcard payments.

We are a small internet based accommodation provider and cancellations prevent other guests from booking. We will enforce a 7 day cancellation policy, so if you wish to change or cancel your booking you need to let us know more than 7 days before your expected arrival, otherwise we will charge your credit card for the total cost of your booking.
