Terms & Conditions

A deposit of one night is to be paid immediately by credit card to secure a booking. We accept Visa and MasterCard.

Full payment is due 28 days before arrival.
Special offers and discounts will be applied before your credit card is processed.

The Eco-cottages are all smoke free (inside). Because smoking outside is an extreme fire hazard from the months of October to March, we prefer guests do not smoke at all.

An additional cleaning fee of $100 will be debited to your credit card if evidence of smoking inside is found.

We reserve the right to charge for extra cleaning should the need arise. Any major breakages or damages will be charged against your credit card.

Should you wish to pay by direct debit a credit card is required to be held as bond.

The deposit is refundable, less $50.00 administration fee if cancellation occurs more than 4 weeks prior to arrival date. The deposit may be transferred in full to a later booking date.

If cancellation occurs less than 4 weeks prior to arrival date return of the deposit (less the $50 administration fee) is subject to the reservation being re-sold at its full original value. If the booking cannot be re-sold (fully or partially) Gisborne Peak Winery will retain the deposit and the balance of any full payment will be refunded.

Cancellation less than 7 days from arrival date will result in retention of all monies paid, subject to the reservation being re-sold at its full original value. No-show will trigger liability for the full amount of your reservation.

Note: some on-line bookings companies have their own cancellation policy which may vary from the above.

Check – In/Out Times: Check in Time is from 2:00pm (14:00 hours) Enquire if earlier check in is desired.
Check out Time is 11:00am (1100 hours). Enquire about late check-out.
Two Ways to check-out:
1. At cellar door. Please drop off your key.
2. Leave your key in the cottage mailbox located next to the lake by the wind turbine. ‘
Any items taken from the mini-bar will be charged to your credit card.

We reserve the right to charge your credit card for all and any damages outside normal wear and tear and for any theft of property.

The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However, the owners reserve the right to make alternations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be met. We appreciate that most people will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we stat the following conditions:
1. Number of Guests should not exceed 2 per cottage. Due to a VCAT ruling there can be no exception to this number.
2. Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, rubbish removal, wear and tear, repairs, etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
3. Damage, breakages, theft and loss are the tenant’s responsibility during their stay.
4. Gisborne Peak is a place designed to be tranquil. Disturbance including excessive noise, to other guests and our neighbours, is prohibited and may result in termination of your stay without compensation.
5. Your credit card will also act as a Bond. It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements.
6. Pets are not allowed.
7. Loss – the owners take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property.
