Welcome to the Giants Table and Cottages, Maydena, in the beautiful Derwent Valley region.

We are situated on the edge of the South West World Heritage Area, ten minutes drive from Mount Field National Park with its wonderful Russell Falls and close to the entrance to the Styx Valley of the Giants,(hence our name), yet still only just over an hour from Hobart.

There is so much to see and do in this area that you will find that one night will not be enough to enjoy it.
We are at the ideal point for your stopover between Strahan and Hobart.
Experience the lush temperate rainforest, spectacular mountains, the tallest trees in the world, untouched wilderness and an array of fantastic wildlife right on the doorstep.

In comfortable self-contained cottage accommodation you can soak up the silence, the freshest air anywhere and explore amazing countryside; a combination that together will help renew your spirit.

Cottages are arranged in a circle, with the Restaurant and Reception in the centre.

Giants Table and Cottages is famous for its comfortable beds, cosy atmosphere and delicious food and is proudly family owned and operated.

Please note the Restaurant is open during the summer only for dinner. If you wish to eat, bookings are strongly advised in adavance.

GROUP BOOKINGS
We recommend that the person making the booking

1. Collect a deposit from all Group Members so that they do not find themselves responsible for paying if any of the Group subsequently drops out.

2. Collects the full amount for accommodation from each member and pay us in one amount. (This saves upset for everyone about who has paid what etc.)

3.Organises a list of who is staying in which cottage and sends us a copy. (This is particularly helpful if the Group are not arriving together.)

Cancellations
100% is taken for every booking . If a booking is cancelled, 10% is not refunded and a credit card charge for booking and refunding of 4% is also deducted.
A booking cancelled with less than 7 days notice incurs 50% of total cost and less than 24 hours notice means 100% of the total is payable.

Check - in/out
Check-in is from 2pm until 6pm and check-out is by 10am

The restaurant is open during the summer only. If you wish to eat, please check with us if it is open, before you arrive.
