Our small and personalised cruise gets you closer to wild and untouched Doubtful Sound. You will be accommodated on board the Southern Secret, a 20 metre launch overnight in a private ensuite cabin.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR DOUBTFUL SOUND OVERNIGHT EXPERIENCE
You will be collected from Edgewater Motel Te Anau at 9.00am and transported by bus from Te Anau to Lake Manapouri. Here you will board a boat across Lake Manapouri (45 min cruise) to West Arm.

At West Arm you will see the above ground sections of the Manapouri Power Station, an underground hydroelectric power station which is capable of generating up to 850 MW using water from Lakes Te Anau and Manapouri. It is the largest hydroelectric power station in New Zealand.

At West Arm you will meet your skipper or crew who will take you by courtesy bus over the Wilmot Pass where you will capture breathtaking vistas of Doubtful Sound and the surrounding mountains.

You will arrive at the Southern Secret and Doubtful Sound around midday, welcome refreshments will be served as we begin to explore the environs of Doubtful Sound such as Hall Arm, Crooked Arm, Bradshaw Sound and more, all the while keep watch for inhabitants such as bottlenosed dolphins, penguins, sea birds and seals.

INCLUDES:
Your private Cabin has a double bed with towels and linens provided and an ensuite toilet/shower. Return transport from Te Anau, picnic lunch, evening meal, snacks & hot drinks throughout your cruise, light breakfast, fishing lines and plenty of incredible scenery are included. Activities on board may include fishing, kayaking, crayfishing, mammal watching and star gazing.

The Southern Secret accommodates a maximum of 12 passengers. Please advise details of any dietary requirements and your contact details while in New Zealand. You will return to your accommodation by 12.30pm on day 2.

EDGEWATER TE ANAU

At time of reserving your room with Edgewater Te Anau, the first nights accommodation will be debited to confirm your accommodation with us. The remaining balance is due upon check in.

ACTIVITY REQUESTS

Activity requests are subject to availability - if you would like to reserve a tour or activity in the area Edgewater Te Anau are able to reserve local tours on your behalf - to make a reservation we require full payment from your nominated credit card at the time of booking; we would then issue tickets which will be available for collection upon arrival Te Anau. We will email you within 24 hrs to confirm your activity request.

EDGEWATER CANCELLATION POLICY:

A reservation is confirmed when one nights accommodation, agent payment, address for service or credit card details confirm your intention to stay. Full payment is required upon arrival - rooms and facilities are not to be occupied until you have registered with reception.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before arrival, full refund less admin fee of 10%. Cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival, no refund - 1 nights accommodation minimum will be charged.

In the case of a "no show" by reception closing one nights accommodation will be charged to credit card details and keys with directions to your room shall be left on the reception door for you. If you have not arrived by following morning any further nights will be cancelled. No refund as room held for you.

Unforeseen circumstances may be taken into consideration.

Once an activity has been booked - the terms of cancellation are at the discretion of the tour operator. Most have 24 hour cancellation policy.
