Charwell Lodge is a New Zealand owned & operated Boutique Bed & Breakfast catering for a maximum of 6 people. Your Hosts Bill & Judy Clarkson travelled extensively between 1997 & 2002 before building and setting up the business in 2004. With an elevated North facing aspect the views from your rooms are unsurpassed by any other Accommodation provider in the Hanmer Area. There are many eco-friendly features designed to preserve and enhance the wonderfull environment. A large open log fire in the Lounge, Solar water heating in the Kitchen supplemented by a caste wood stove, Solar pump for the main water supply, an organic vegetable garden and free range hens, The Lodge is fully Insulated with double glazing throughout. Enjoy the native birds and the peacefull ambience during your stay. Bill will demonstrate on request,his working Sheepdogs. Jill a Border Collie bitch, and Dulcie an energetic NZ Huntaway.
