Built and established in 1885 as a coaching inn on the Cobb & Co. route, The Carrington Inn was destined for a diverse and colourful life. Bungendore legend has it, that on the day the original inn closed its doors to the trade, only three beers at tuppance each were sold.
The Carrington Inn was later to become a general store, a bordello and a private residence before being beautifully restored to its original design, true to the character and style of its Victorian origins.
Once more The Carrington Inn doors are open to the gentle bustle of a country life, and a significant piece of Australia's history has been rescued and lovingly restored for all to enjoy.
A visit to The Carrington Inn of Bungendore is a truly unique and intimate experience, where time matters little and the past and present can entangle over a glass of wine.
In keeping with the heritage architecture of the Nineteenth century and Victorian era, 26 accommodation rooms are decorated in the colonial style to compliment the original inn. Whether it be for business or leisure, The Carrington Inn is a unique and enjoyable experience for all tastes.
The romance and intimacy of The Carrington Inn is the embodiment of that country charm that supports a country wedding or special event. Our designated and purpose built 'Wedding & Events' Cottage with seperate lounge, outdoor courtyard and modern facilities, makes for a superb venue and can cater for up to 80 guests.

Terms & Conditions
Full payment is required at time of booking. If you are not the cardholder, the cardholder's permission must be given prior to booking.
On arrival a Credit Card imprint is required for each reservation. We respect that not all guests carry a credit card. Therefore, upon check-in, $100.00 cash or EFTPOS security deposit is necessary.
All packages are subject to availability.
If you elect to pay your account via Amex, Diners, Mastercard or Visa The Carrington Inn reserves the right to charge a processing fee of 3.5% for AMEX and Diners and 1.5% for Mastercard and Visa.
Early Checkin can be arranged by request, subject to availability only. Hotel is to be advised if arriving late, so arrangements can be made for key pick up. Reception hours are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm Saturday and 8am to 12pm on Sunday.
As a small property, our business depends on maximising occupancy and cancellations often result in empty rooms. Therefore, no cancellation charge applies prior to 14:00 (local time), up to 2 days prior to arrival. A $7.50 processing fee per room will only apply in this instance. Beyond that time, the full amount of the booking will be charged.
